Can I add my brand to the page?

Yes, you can upload your logo and company information. If you want more detailed branding or full white labelling, please get in touch to discuss your requirements further with one of 5QLive’s dedicated Relationship Managers.

How long are my interviews stored for?

For monthly plans, the recordings are stored for 30 days after the plan is cancelled.

For annual plans, the recordings are stored for the one-year duration of the subscription.

How do I invite candidates to interview?

For one way video interviewing:

There are three ways to invite candidates to create a video interview on 5QLive.

Go to your dashboard and select the invitations.

  1. Invite candidate – to invite candidates individually type in the candidate’s name and email address and it will send them an invite to participate.
  2. Bulk upload candidates – to invite all of your candidates at once, upload a spreadsheet to send out mass invitations.
  3. Open invitation link – this will give you a link which can be posted on any website, social media page or jobs portal allowing anyone to apply for the role.

For live video interviewing:

Select the invitations button from the dashboard and enter the candidate’s details and the date and time of the interview to send an automatic email invitation to the candidate.

Can I change the rating dimensions?

Yes, you can set unique dimensions for each role you create.

Can I cancel my account?

Yes, you can cancel your account at any time. When you cancel, you will not be billed when your next billing anniversary arrives

Do I have to pay with a credit card?

While the most seamless process is paying online via credit card, we do offer alternative payment methods. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.

My password isn't working, how can I log in?

If you have used the system in the past and forgotten your password, or are experiencing an issue with your password, the best way to fix the issue is to reset your password. To reset your password, we ask that you visit 5QLive.com and click on the “Forgot Password?” link. You will receive an email with instructions to create a new password to restore access to your account.

Can I add my team members?

Yes, you can add an unlimited number of your team members to your company account.

What is included with the 5QLive subscriptions?

With all 5QLive subscriptions you have access to three types of interviewing to help screen your candidates faster: one way video interviewing, written assessments and live video interviewing.

You can create as many job roles, and invite as many candidates as you like as all of our subscriptions are unlimited to ensure that you use 5QLive to its full potential to save time, energy and resources screening candidates.

One-Way interview troubleshooting

If you’re experiencing technical difficulties with your One-Way Interview, please try some of these potential solutions as they resolve the majority of issues:

1. Close applications other than 5QLive that use your webcam and microphone. Applications such as Skype and FaceTime may interfere with 5QLive’s ability to leverage your webcam and microphone.
2. Utilize a newer web browser. The most recent versions of the following browsers are supported: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari.
3. Use the Set Up function to ensure your hardware is functioning before you enter the interview.
4. Connect to a stable internet connection–an ethernet cable connection is preferred to wireless if possible.
5. If you don’t have a functioning webcam, please visit 5QLive.com from your mobile browser (Chrome or Safari) to log in and record your interview.

I have been invited to the wrong interview

Please contact [email protected] so that we can connect you to the right interview.

Can I answer with a mobile device?

Yes. We have a fully supported platform for Android (e.g. Samsung, HTC, OnePlus, Huawei, LG, Nexus, Motorola) and iOS (iPhone, iPad) for both smart phones and tablets. Record your answers directly to the interview page.
Please make sure that you use a stand to prevent the video from appearing shaky and use the set up to test your settings.

Can I see the questions in advance?

No, the intention of one-way interviews is to replicate the conditions of in-person interviews. Relax, speak naturally and don’t forget to smile.

Do I need to record my answers on one session?

Yes, once you have begun the interview you are unable to pause to re-record videos. If you have technical issues, please contact [email protected] for assistance.

Do I need to register?

No, we provide a link and unique code, so you can answer without registration or creating an account.

How long does it take to answer?

The whole interview session can take up to 30 minutes. Each question has an individual time limit set by the company. Look out for these when you start a question to ensure you can answer fully in the allocated time. Please note that written assessments are also timed.

I closed my question part-way through

If you have closed the question, pressed back on the browser or your device lost power while still recording a one way video interview, you will have become locked out. Log back into your account and request another attempt.

If this was a written assessment, the answers you have already submitted will be automatically sent to the interviewer, but you will not be able to complete the rest of the written assessment.

I wasn't happy with my response, could I do another?

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to resubmit any completed responses. You will need to request a new recording from the interviewer directly.

Why do I need a code?

The 5QLive code is your unique identifier and connects you to the correct interview when you log in.

Where do I find my code?

Your code will be emailed to you. If you are having issues with your code, please contact us at [email protected]

I have a code, what do I do?

You are ready to go. Select ‘I Have A Code’ from the top of the website and follow the instructions to set up and begin the interview. If you have been invited to a live video interview you will need to wait until the specified time and date to join the interview.

When you log in a tutorial will walk you through the different parts of the platform and there is a set-up page where you can test your hardware.

I have a question for the interviewer

If you have questions related to deadlines, interview questions, language options etc. you will need to speak to the employer directly.

I ran out of time but I haven’t completed the questions

Unfortunately, we are unable to allow second attempts for the interviews. You will need to request a new recording attempt.

I finished my interview, what next?

Great job. For further information about your results and recruitment process, please contact the employer directly.

Is 5QLive free for job seekers?

Yes, 5QLive 100% free for job seekers.

I want to delete all my information/I want to withdraw my application

What is the deadline of my interview?

The deadline is set by the interviewer, we recommend you submit your videos as soon as possible. Since we don’t manage the recruitment or selection process 5QLive isn’t able to offer any extensions on deadlines.

Who sees my videos?

The only people who will be able to view your video responses is the employer at the company you are completing the interview for. Once a video response has been completed, they will be automatically submitted and the employer will be notified.

What can I do to make my interview great?

We recommend following the same procedures and if it was an in-person interview:

• Remember to dress in professional or business casual attire. First impressions count, even during a video interview.

• Remember to relax and smile and keep eye contact with the camera, imagine you are speaking to a person and not just a screen.

• Spend time before your interview thinking of examples of questions you may be asked.

• Read the job description so you are clear on the skills required for the job. These are the skills that will be assessed at interview and will base the questions around.

• Research the employer so you have an understanding of their business, values, key projects, markets, client base and challenges.

I got disconnected

If you are completing a one way video interview, you must request a new invite from the employer and a new invitation will be emailed to you.

If you are taking part in a live video interview log back in and select Join Interview to re-enter the live interview.

Which web browser should I use?

We support Google Chrome (recommended), Firefox, Safari 11 and Opera. Unfortunately, we do not currently support, Microsoft Edge, and Internet Explorer. These browsers are still in the experimental stage since WebRTC support was only recently released in these systems. Our team is working hard to work out the bugs before we roll out support for these browsers.

I can’t see my face on the screen

Please check your camera permissions.

Here’s how:

Using Mozilla Firefox: On the menu bar, go to Tools > Page Info > Permissions, then scroll down to “Use the Camera”. Make sure the website is allowed to use the camera.

Using Opera: By default, Opera will always ask you to allow a site to access your camera. If this isn’t the case, go to Settings > Websites, under Camera, and click Manage Exceptions button.

Using Chrome, at the top right, click More Settings. At the bottom, click Advanced. Under “Privacy and security,” click Content settings. Click the permission you want to update.

It’s not recording my voice

Please check your microphone permissions.

Here’s how:

Using Mozilla Firefox: On the menu bar, go to Tools > Page Info > Permissions, then scroll down to “Use the Camera”. Make sure the website is allowed to use the camera.

What kind of equipment do I need?

All you need is a computer with a webcam and an up-to-date internet browser or a modern phone with a camera.

Although you can answer written questions on a phone, we do recommend using a computer with a keyboard to ensure you have the best opportunity to answer the questions in the time limit.

Use the Set-Up page to ensure your camera and audio are working before you begin.

What if I don't have a webcam?

You can use your mobile device to record your answers.

Do I have to do both the written questions and the one-way interview at the same time?

No, these are two different sections to the interview. You can complete one at a time whenever is most convenient to you.

General Questions and Technical Support

My page won't load, or isn't displayed properly

If you aren’t able to see load the page, or the formatting isn’t showing correctly, we would recommend installing and attempting the interview using another web browser. Our recommended web browser is Google Chrome.

If using another web browser does not solve the issue, we would recommend:

  • Switching to another computer
  • Connect to another WiFi network.

What about security?

5QLive uses proven, industry-standard, security measures to protect your data. Our security features include:

• HTTPS: All HTTP traffic is encrypted using SSL.

• Passwords are never stored in clear-text, only irreversible salted-hash versions are retained.

• Authentication cookies are verified using secure signatures and are not accessible from JavaScript. Users of the service can’t access other users’ data.

• Video operations use a cryptographic hash authentication token containing a shared secret to verify both the user and access to the desired operation (playback and/or recording). • Firewalls filter all inbound traffic to servers. Strong encryption is required for all system-level access to the servers.

• Security features provided by the cloud environment provider offer protection against DDoS and MITM attacks and prevent IP spoofing and packet sniffing of internal traffic.

Is 5QLive PDPA and GDPR compliant?

Yes. We are compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

What device should I use?

5QLive can be used on any modern device – desktops, laptops, tablets and on mobile phones. Giving interviewers and candidates access anywhere, anytime.

Do I need to download an app?

No, to use 5QLive all you need is a modern device and an internet connection. There are no apps to download or new languages to learn.
